The Green Lantern is a character which can be taken many different ways and this is just one interpretation. The Midori is quiet an obvious ingredient because of the colour. With the Melon flavour I wanted to show that although on the surface Hal appears to be shallow he does have a back story and is a little more complex, and Galliano does that brilliantly. The sour mix and the lemon and limeade, add a kick that the Green Lantern has, it also adds to the green colour. The High Ball Glass is a tribute to Hal Jordan's air force call sign.

Agent Coulson is a deceptive character at first you just think he is another suit, but think again this man packs a very real punch. Unassuming and seemingly ordinary but get on the wrong side of him and you're on the floor, and that is what this cocktail is. In the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D TV series he is noted for referencing Tahiti and that is where I wanted to start with a fruit zing, yet keeping his manliness intact, hence the simple garnish. Linking in with these themes the Cointreau & the Triple Sec, and the punch, that Phil himself could deliver. The Lemonade links back to the American 'tradition' of selling Lemonade. And the Lime Juice is the unexpected kick. The Squared Tumbler is to show that he can conform.
